For this year’s Cinco de Mayo we’re celebrating an evolution.
There’s evolution in season, with the frigid winter (finally) history and the warm summer months just around the corner. That means sunglasses and margaritas on our patio, and Sunday brunches with a gentle breeze flowing through the open garage doors. Can you feel it?
This year it also means an exciting evolution to lunch 7 days/week with the debut of our Taqueria service. We’re now open at 11 every day, ready and willing to satisfy your mid-day taco cravings.
The fiesta kicks off today and lasts all weekend long. Here’s the lineup:
Late Night Fiesta at Verde!
First Fridays Unblurred are monthly celebrations of the arts on Penn Avenue.
And when the galleries close, it’s time to head back to Verde for a special late-night after party. A second happy hour kicks in from 11-1, with $2 off the city’s best and most authentic margarita.
Plus DJ Samuel Andres will be spinning groves, fueling energy for the fiesta!
Tequila & Margarita Class
The main event! We open Saturday at 11am with our taqueria serving up 9 varieties of tacos and more until 5pm, with a canopy tent, grill, and Dos Equis beer station set up on our patio as well.
And join us for tequila tastings and margarita mixology class at 3 in the afternoon. You’ll taste three expressions of 1800 tequila, as well as make your own 1800 margarita. Plus we have slick giveaways for everyone.
Marathon Brunch!
Good luck to all runners!
We’ll be open at 11am, although check the course map and plan your trip accordingly.
All runners who bring their bib get a small guacamole on us — congratulations!
Our brunch menu will be available until 3pm, our taqueria from 3-5, and dinner service as normal from 5-9pm. Plus the patio grill & beer station will be at your service. Psst: it’s also Star Wars day, which is kinda awesome.
Taqueria Lunch and Live Music for Dinner!
Cinco de Mayo marks the official start of our Monday-Saturday Taqueria service!
That’s right, we’re now open at 11am *every day* with a menu that showcases a delicious taco lineup. And better yet, many of them will be available for just $3 this Monday from 11-5pm.
Later that evening, we host John Marcinizyn on guitar from 7-10pm as we conclude our celebration of Cinco de Mayo weekend.
It’s going to be a great weekend!
